Career Overview 

I have built a diverse career spanning over three decades, with a focus on finance, business development, and supporting SMEs.

Starting out in 1993 and later becoming a Director at Economy Windows Ltd working alongside my parents, I gained extensive experience in operations and management, eventually expanding my expertise into business development and financial roles. 

As a Business Development Director at Cloud Bookkeeping between 2012-2014, I supported the building of a national franchise, recruiting and encouraging franchisees.  

In February 2014 I founded Athena Business Services, providing bookkeeping and business support to local businesses utilising my new found knowledge and expertise of the cloud based Xero software, enabling myself and my clients to work remotely from any location. I sold the company in 2019.

My financial expertise expanded further when I became CFO at Captain Fawcett Limited, in 2019 overseeing all aspects of financial management and dealing with imports and exports.

During my time with Captain Fawcett I also served as Director at their sister company McCavity’s Contract Fillers Limited, a specialist aluminium cosmetic tube filling company. 

I served as Finance Director at ASC Metals Lincoln Ltd, between 2022 and 2026 where I focused on strategic financial management working directly alongside the Managing Director and Owner. During my tenure I contributed to the Bank of England’s Decision Maker Panel, providing insights into economic trends.

In March 2026 I became Managing Director and Co-Founder of Motivational Business Network Ltd.  Alongside Brad Burton our mission is to help as many SME businesses succeed and flourish.

Throughout my career, I've developed expertise in networking, building teams, and championing the success of small and medium-sized businesses. It's my passion and I love it.
